A quick guide

How to use Merge PDFs

  1. 1

    Choose your PDFs

Add at least two readable PDF files. Each file appears in the queue with its page count.

  2. 2

    Put them in order

Preview the files and drag their queue rows into the order you want. Advanced options also offers file-name or reverse queue order.

  3. 3

    Merge and download

Choose Merge PDFs to create one document. The pages inside each source PDF keep their existing order.

Check the order before sharing

For a report with a cover and appendix, put the cover PDF first, then the report and appendix. Combining files does not add page numbers, rewrite text or create matching page sizes. The original files stay unchanged. Check the downloaded copy before you share it.

Common questions

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

This merge workflow needs password-free copies. If a PDF is locked or unreadable, remove it or provide an unlocked copy you are authorized to use.

Does merging make a PDF smaller?

Merging combines pages; it does not recompress embedded pictures or guarantee a smaller file. The output can be close to the combined size of the sources.

Can I merge on a phone?

Use the file picker in a current mobile browser. Memory and file support depend on your device; smaller batches are easier to process.
